Magic Johnson Tours Florida With Turkeys

TAMPA -- An NBA legend has been making a swing through the Sunshine State.

Earvin "Magic" Johnson visited Tampa Thursday for a "Pop Up Pantry" event at Cyrus Green Community Center on East Martin Luther King Boulevard. The event provided free food including Thanksgiving turkeys, cooking demonstrations, health information and a children's zone, meant to promote healthy eating. The Tampa event was sponsored by Simply Healthcare and Heaven's Destiny Church.

Johnson was joined in Tampa by retired MLB player Gary Sheffield.

Today (Friday) the NBA Hall of Famer is in working in Lauderdale Lakes for a similar giveaway at Vincent Torres Memorial Park, at 4 p.m.
