Garth Brooks stopped by The Kelly Clarkson Show this week, where he performed a handful of acoustic covers, one of which brought Kelly Clarkson to tears.

The country megastar performed several mini renditions of songs by James Taylor, Otis Redding and more. However, it was his cover of Bob Dylan's "To Make You Feel My Love" that was the real show-stopper.

"I recently did that song on the show with Ben Platt," Clarkson said. "He knew that song from Bob Dylan and I had no idea that Bob Dylan existed when I was a kid. No one around me listened to Bob Dylan, but I sure as he** knew your version. I thought it was a Garth Brooks song like until I was 20."

Brooks then proceeded to strum his guitar and sing the ballad. Clarkson overcome with emotion, began to tear up.

"If you would have told me as a kid that that moment would have happened? I'm sorry," she said as she wiped tears from her eyes. "I just can't believe my life sometimes, that you're just sitting here, serenading me."

Brooks, who Clarkson called the "Meryl Streep of music," gave her a hug adding, "That's very sweet, especially coming from you."

During the interview Clarkson also spoke about Brooks' wife and country icon, Trisha Yearwood.

"She is the greatest vocalist," Clarkson tells Brooks. "You know I'm a nerd for her. Her voice is like the sound of crystal."

“Well, the crazy thing is, awards are as good as people’s names are on them. Compliments are as good as people who give them,” Brooks says in response to Clarkson. “You’re a freak of nature. Everybody in the business knows you have no ceiling. For you to say that about her, she would sit here and say the exact same thing about you.”
